We are blessed to have great contacts and opportunities to offer school assemblies to area schools.
Brad Hurtig
Brad was a three sport athlete growing up in Northwest Ohio. Excelling as a sophomore on the football field, he was anticipating a great junior and senior season until June 10th, 2002. Only a few days after finishing his sophomore year, he was involved in a devastating and life changing accident that resulted in the amputation of my his hand and half of his right arm. "The accident took my hands but it wasn’t going to take my life." Brad rejoined the baseball and football teams. Exceeding expectations in football, he reclaimed his starting position his senior year and led the team with 111 tackles without hands.
"Brad is truly a blessing!! He held my students attention the entire time. He opened any eyes, including mine and my staffs, with his ability to be strong and not feel sorry for himself. His message was very powerful."
D. Feasal (Fayette Schools Principal)
Brad spent four days visiting area schools sharing his story and encouraging young student and adults to be strong and not give up! The amazing thing is that Brad charged a fraction of what most speakers charge, and gave half of it back to that local school’s FCA Huddle!
Brad also volunteers as a FCA Huddle leader with the Fairview Middle School Huddle and serves as the High School football team chaplain!
