On Sunday, April 6th, we celebrated over 20 years of the ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the Buckeye Border, five-county area! We’ve seen all kinds of growth in these 20 years. Three campus Huddles to 47. Zero camps to three camps, along with a multitude of day camps and sport camps through the years. No Team Times to nearly 40 every year over the past 12 years. Numerous events, including Fields of Faith and Huddle events.

Sunday was a night to not only celebrate this past year, but the many years of ministry! It was an evening of worshiping God, feasting on some good food, laughing hysterically, fellowshipping around the table, and finding inspiration from the stories from young and old!

I am blessed to be surrounded by such incredible teammates, and more importantly to see this team empowered by the work of the Holy Spirit! God is at work! Don’t let the media or the news for you, God is doing great things in our schools, in the dugout, on the fields of competition, and in the classroom!

Words cannot express how thankful I am that God has surrounded this ministry with staff, board members, adult Huddle leaders, financial supporters, prayer warriors, youth pastors, pastors, churches, volunteers, and students who have a passion to serve God!

In the 20 years of ministry, I’ve had the pleasure to be blessed with staff and board members who are no longer serving. I’ve been blessed to witness faithful Huddle leaders come and go, coaches retire, and friends move away. As financial challenges arise, I’ve also seen Home Team members come and go. But each person was part of this ministry for a purpose and a season. I thank God for them. And I thank God for those currently giving, serving, and praying for this ministry.
